Bosco Emparanza is the CEO and founder of MOA Foodtech, an innovative B2B sustainable ingredient platform that is transforming the agri-food industry since 2021. The company combines biotechnology and artificial intelligence to convert waste and by-products into next-generation proteins that are highly nutritious, tasty, functional, and 100% sustainable.
Additionally, Emparanza is an active member of the board of ASEBIO, Spain's leading biotechnology association, where he leads the Food Innovation Working Group. This role allows him to influence and drive advancements in the biotechnological and food sectors.
Emparanza holds a Master’s degree in Health Biotechnology from CESIF, with a focus on biotechnology business management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Navarra. His educational background equips him with a solid foundation in both the scientific and business aspects of biotechnology. Before founding MOA Foodtech, Emparanza was a lecturer in Industrial Biotechnology at CESIF. He also worked as a sales technician at AINIA Centro Tecnológico, gaining valuable insights into market needs and opportunities for biotechnological innovation. His experience in project evaluation was further honed through his role at Imagine Lab, where he assessed various initiatives. His career reflects a commitment to advancing sustainability and innovation within the food technology sector. Under his leadership, MOA Foodtech has emerged as a pioneer in developing sustainable ingredients, potentially revolutionizing the food production and consumption landscape.
