Jason Alnaasan is a distinguished expert in microbiology, plant protection, and biotechnology, currently serving as Global Manager at Intertek AgriTech. He holds a Master's degree in Plant Virology in collaboration with the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) and a second Master's degree in Plant Pathology from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (MAIB), Italy. Jason also holds a Ph.D. in Plant Protection from Tuscia University, Italy, and further advanced his expertise through a postdoctoral fellowship at Sherbrooke University, Canada. His professional journey includes pivotal roles as a senior researcher and a manager. Jason's work focuses on molecular typing of plants and pathogens, integrated pest management, and hyperspectral imaging techniques. He has made substantial contributions to the characterization of plant viruses and the development of diagnostic tools, advancing plant disease management and sustainable agriculture. Fluent in Arabic, English, Swedish, and Italian, Jason has authored several publications and presented at many international conferences, showcasing his research globally. Jason has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the recognition of the best thesis at the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari. His leadership at Intertek is marked by innovation in agricultural biotechnology, emphasizing global development and customer service excellence.
