Samer Alawiah is the Managing Director at Daikin UAE, the global leader in developing and manufacturing air conditioning, heating, ventilation, & refrigeration solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Daikin Middle East and Africa office is headquartered in Dubai, UAE. Samer is based out of the Dubai office and is responsible for managing the UAE business for the company. The company looks after product planning, promotion, sales, after-market service, and support for all air conditioning products, covering the whole of GCC and Africa. Samer is associated with Daikin MEA for over a decade and has served the growth of the UAE sales and wider GCC clients prior to taking over the role of Managing Director for the UAE’s business. He joined Daikin in 2013 as a regional director for the strategic accounts department, to manage and strengthen relations with the key customers of Daikin in the GCC. Samer has over 24 years of experience in the industry. Prior to Daikin in the UAE, he worked with LG Electronics for nearly six years and Johnson Controls for over three years within the sales division. Samer comes with a distinguished track record in growing profitable businesses, deriving & implementing strategies & brand development within extensively competitive markets. He is talented in identifying business opportunities, promoting innovative solutions, systems, and services, and delivering strong revenues and profits. Samer holds a Master of Science – MS, Mechanical Engineering degree from Lebanese University and an Executive Master and Business Administration (EMBA) degree from ESCP/ESA and speaks English and Arabic.
